Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic
The Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic is considered to be one of the most iconic cars in the world. The car was designed by Jean Bugatti and it is considered to be the first supercar. It is also the only Aero Coupe in existence.
Jean Bugatti’s son, Ettore, gave the green light to the construction of the Type 57SC. He personally styled the car.
BMW 3.0 CSL
In 1972, BMW introduced the 3.0 CSL. It was built on a chassis with five-link rear axle active suspension and double-joint spring struts on the front axle. The body was made from aluminum panels. A deep air dam and twin circular holes were used to reduce weight.
In 1973, the 3.0 CSL received an engine upgrade to a 3.2L. This increased displacement to 553 horsepower. As part of the engine upgrade, the cooling system was beefed up. The engine also came with a forged crankshaft. These features combined to make the 3.0 CSL a high-performance, street-legal racecar.
Lotus Esprit S1
