As of last year, Monro has 54 Car-X locations across the Midwest. In April 2015, it purchased Tuffy Associates Corp.’s franchisee program. This meant rebadging half of the franchised stores, and rebranding them with the Car-X brand. Despite the changes in ownership, the number of franchised Car-X locations is still low, down from 146 in 2015.
